LAP Fixed Fire Rated Downlight Contractor Pack Brushed Chrome 240V Pk10
good case shame about the bulb
Downlight case is excellent. However, the halogen bulb is a cheap bulb, it is only 282 lumens - normally 50w halogen gives 400 lumens+. also the angle is only 36 degrees which causes a poor illumination.
Recommend buying the downlights but also buy some good quality bulbs either halogen or LED. LED bulb will give more lumens at a tenth of the wattage.

Good value, pity about bulbs
10 down-lights for £50 is very good value and the quality is fine. If you want a small cut-out (good when avoiding joists in ceiling) but have the depth then go for this one. If you don't have the depth but happy with a bigger cut-out go for the Sylvania (stronger springs but difficult to pull down once installed).
Its a pity they come with cheap 50watt bulbs as most installers are now buying LEDs and nobody wants the halogens. I have a stack !! If you buy a single down-lighter then no bulb, but more expensive at £7. Hmmm. It seems that the bulbs have a negative price. If screw-fix supplied this 10 pack £5 cheaper without the bulbs then even better.

Excellent Customer Service
Bought a pack of 10 non-fire rated downlights 5 months ago and only just got around to installing them now when my electrician informed me he couldn't use them! Took them back to Screwfix (unopened) and despite the very long interval the store manager was brilliant and allowed me to 'upgrade' to fire-rated equivalents - I was so grateful I bought 20 instead of 10! The brand is LAP and that says all you need to know about quality and reliability really. The terrific attitude of the store manager tells you all you need to know about Screwfix too.

Only I week of bulb life
Bought, fitted and after ONLY 1 week 7/10 bulbs needed replacing. The replacement cost of the bulbs is as much as the pack of 10 lights cost to buy. Poor value.
