Rated 2 out of 5 by Not sure Bought this to replace my old labgear amp as after long service it failed. Tried 2 of these and although picture quality was ok, after a couple of hours both failed to allow digital bypass and therefore the magic eyes on the TVs stopped working. Not sure if this was a faulty batch or a problem in general with these. Have now bought one made by a different manufacturer and all is well. 21 Jan 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by DigiLink Problem solver !! We had a problem with the Digi-eye signal from our new Sky box, it would not work even though the old Sky box system did !! Replaced the old Amplifier in the loft with this one that supports the 9v IR return needed for the remote DigiLink , and now it works , and the picture on the second TV is much sharper . :) 18 Jan 2016

Product information

I want to buy a Labgear 8 way TV amplifier splitter. It says it is mains powered which is fine, as I have a socket in the loft. However, there is another option which comes with a PSU. Do I need the PSU if I can plug it straight in to the socket?

Answer:
Hi, If there is a local power socket to where the amplifier is to be sited then a remote powered unit would be of no benefit. Thanks
