Only when I read the instruction manual was it clear that this pump does not pump when the water level is below 8cm. I'm sure it's a great pump but not for the water lying in my basement (6cm level). I wish this had been clear on the Screwfix or Karcher website - was not!!

After many years of watching my cellar flood, I bought this to pump it out as the water had risen much further than normal (winter 13/14 floods)
It is well built (as with all Karcher products) and simple to set up and operate. I particularly like the level sensor which is much easier to set up than faffing around with a float switch.
It's pretty quiet and produces a good flow at 3m head with a 10 long 1.25 inch layflat hose bought from Screwfix.

Bought this as a replacement for a series of failed Erbauer 1000W pumps. Performed excellently during the recent heavy downpours.
My only negative observation is that it's tricky to lower it vertically into a sump due to the design of its mountings, but I will get round this once the rain stops! I also have to think of a way of protecting its clever water level meter from an outlet above the pump - the splashing causes it to pump longer than it should do before switching off. Otherwise, this seems an excellent piece of kit.
