Rated 1 out of 5 by from VERY DISAPPOINTING I give this product one star, only because I cannot give it ZERO stars. I bought this combined goggles & breathing mask before starting to open up a doorway in a brick wall, using a disc cutter and stitch drilling. I knew this would be very dusty, and I wanted to protect my eyes & breathing whilst keeping my glasses on. This respirator failed miserably. I could either get the goggles on (sort of) over my eyes or get the breathing mask over my mouth & nose. The frame / joint between the two parts was so stiff or fixed that whichever was in place, the other was pushed away leaving a gap for dust & debris to enter. Can be Used with Prescription (Rx) Eyewear: Whilst the goggles have moulded cutouts either side and CAN be worn over glasses, I found that the glasses arms opened up gaps that let dust & debris in. Dust got in and covered the glasses, negating the purpose for buying the goggles in the first place. The rubber-plastic goggles frame would not sit comfortably around my face, I found it too stiff and inflexible to shape to my face / head. This left a gap around my forehead and, once the dust built up with disc cutting, significant amounts of gritty dust got inside the goggles, around my eyes and glasses affecting visibility and forcing me to stop work. One-Piece Clear Lens for Optimal Coverage: Well, it was ok until actually used. The goggles steamed up very quickly once I started work with exhaled breath and perspiration. So much dust & mortar got in that I had to clean them (using water from a garden hose) and wipe them with my T shirt. The inside surface scratched straight away, reducing visibility further. Anti-Mist & Anti-Scratch Coating: NO!!! The goggles lens misted up from the start. The goggles would not sit close enough to my face with or without glasses (even when I removed the mask frame) to prevent exhaled breath from entering and steaming up the goggles. The first attempt at cleaning the goggles (with water and a careful wipe) led to scratching of the internal face of the goggles. Fully Adjustable Elastic Harness: The wide elastic harness for the goggles was very good and easy to use. The two thin elastics supporting the lower breathing mask frame was difficult (impossible) to tighten behind my head, they pulled the rubber frame out of shape and they distorted the respirator mask so much that I either had to let dust into the goggles or the mask. These elastics pulled the mask frame out of shape whichever way I tried tightening them. I could not keep both parts in place. The breathing mask has no support of its own, and is held in the frame with two pathetic rubber-plastic tabs. These did not hold the mask securely and any knock or twist meant that the mask would distort, partially come out or one time it actually fell out. I was continually having to stop work to replace the mask in its holder and try to seal it over my mouth & nose. This was absolutely useless, and eventually I detached the mask frame from the goggles and used the goggles with a separate (non-JSP) mask that had its own harness elastics. However, the goggles continued to steam up and eventually I resorted to just wearing my glasses with the separate mask. Low Breathing Resistance Valve, 94% Filter Efficiency: The filter worked well but kept falling out of the frame holder, and since it was only held in with two useless tabs this meant that it was useless itself. I bought this respirator together with a pack of ten spare masks. The mask are pretty useless since the two tabs on the holder do not hold it securely in place; I'll be returning them to Screwfix and taking back the useless respirator too. I'll stick to masks with their own harness /elastics that stay in place whatever I do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Mask Okay mask, strap connectors a bit fiddly and look like the could easily break. (So examine carefully). Offer good face protection too. Added bonus, I can ware my dewalt safety sun glasses underneath. Good value

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good Bought two of these after reading reviews sorry to say I think they are rubbish. Filters keep coming out of the very flimsy location points, goggles easily detach from mask and they DO mist up. Gave up using them. Not what I was expecting, very disappointed and a waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design causes leaking/fog The plastic holding the soft mouthpiece in place is too rigid meaning hot moist breath leaks up into goggles fogging them up, making them useless. If the googles are removed that same thing causes dust to get into the mouthpiece, my lungs are not happy after a days use.

Can this be used over sun glasses?

Asked by: DrDecorator123
Good morning, unfortunately not, as wearing sunglasses would result in your FilterSpec fitting incorrectly.

Is this suitable protection against plaster and brick dust?

Asked by: lewis089
Unfortunately not - this P2 mask is not suitable for protection against plaster and brick dust. We would recommend a high efficiency P3 mask for these contaminants, with eye protection if deemed necessary for the task.

Is this product safe for asbestos removal ?

Asked by: McYeti
No this product should not be used for asbestos removal. For asbestos removal, an assigned protection factor (APF) of 40 is required. This can be achieved by using a full face mask with P3 filters.

Number of uses

How many times can be used? Do you sell spare filters? Thanks
Asked by: Chusta3000
Screwfix do stock our spare filters for the product, FFP2 is coded 53531 and the FFP3 filtares are code 75494. The filters are classified as single use, so after a days use should be replaced. The housing and goggle should offer at least 2 years service depending on how well they are looked after.
