Having tried most of the pushfit type fittings, JG Speedfit is in my opinion, the best.
These inserts fit nicely, work, and can be removed.
As mentioned by others, use the solid (no "O" rings) inserts for compression fittings, but you can at a pinch use these as well.
Follow all the rules, no scratches on the pipe, no hacksaws (cut square with the proper pipe cutter, push right home using the guides printed on the pipe, and you are guaranteed a leakproof connection, plus the benefit of tool-less, easy demount. If you use the ipe without an insert for a temporary fix, always shamfer off the outer edge of the pipe to ensure you don't damage the internal "O" ring

Had a scratch on my pipe and hence used these inserts because they seal on inside of pipe and the second O ring in the insert adds to the seal within the joint.
JG products are very good and I will now not use anything else.
Do not use these inserts if you are using compression joints to copper pipe. (use a solid one).

I have used quite a few of these now and never had a leak. I recommend them unless needed for metal compression fittings when the basic non-superseal type should be used. Long term reliability remains to be seen.

These pipe inserts fit really well and the sealing rings give that extra peace of mind. However much the joints are rotated they never leak which makes working in tight spaces easy. I have used these with plastic pipe in compression joints and they work well. Even though they are plastic, the inserts are solid enough to withstand having an olive crimped onto the pipe with no sign of being compressed. I make sure I always have a couple of packs in my toolbox.
