Bought for use as bidet control valve and it lasted about 3 weeks before flimsy plastic lever failed to turn valve - looks nice just don't use it and it will be fine. I'm off to buy a pegler instead.

I bought two of these. One is still usable after very light use and the other has failed.
The little plastic lever is fiddly and inconvenient. The valve mechanism is very stiff so the stress on the little plastic lever is excessive. After a few operations the plastic lever fails. (The plastic bits that engage with the valve break.)
When you remove the dead lever there is a rather shallow and very wide slot which could be turned with a screwdriver. However the stiffness of the ball means that the screwdriver just destroys the slot.

Great isolating valve . Can be used for central heating .
The lever can be removed on this valve and you are left with a screwdriver slot the same as the more expensive version .
The cheaper compression valves should not be used on central heating systems . Many people use them but they normally fail when used to isolate after being fitted for a while .
