Poor quality for price
We ordered 7 of these doors and 3 had to go back because of serious dents and chunks taken out, which was not visible until unwrapped. The replacements came fairly quickly and were worse than the originals. It was obvious that someone had dropped an object across one of the doors and then attempted to sand it out leaving huge dents. Nearly all of the doors have had to have some remedial sanding down to try and get them to look halfway decent. We are very disappointed given that they were quite a bit more expensive than others advertised. Jeld Wen needs to seriously inspect their doors before they are dispatched, as the damage was not caused during transit.

We've had a few of these cottage oak doors now and a couple of the half glazed version for downstairs. All have been of a good quality and had a nice finish, being a solid core construction they are fairly heavy so we used 3 ball bearing hinges per door.
When they arrive they are untreated and the white oak looks quite pale, I used two coats of Sadolin Classic Woodstain (Natural) which really brought out the color of the oak.

is the Oregon Cottage interior door genuine solid wood all the way through, or composite wood under the veneer?
The core is engineered particle board, the veneer is American white oak.

can I cut the top and bottom off this door to get 187 cm height?
If not, please advise on alternative wooden door width 69, height 187, depth 3.5cm (preferably with vertical panelling as in this door)
Answer: 5mm trim allowance on all 4 edges.
Unfortunately we do not offer height 1870mm, width 690mm, 1981 x 686mm is the closest.
