Isolating Valve 22mm Pack of 2
not work well when needed
I have purchased about 10 of these 22 mm isolating valves, yes they do isolate and don't leak- initially. So it was left open to flow for 8 or 9 months. On needing to emergency turn off a section of heating pipes, the 2 valves controlling feed and return of the area were a) stiff to turn off, and b) leaked through the screw area, one leaked 200 ml in an hour, the other about 100 ml in an hour. This was when used to stop flow, and unfortunately when turned open to re-allow flow, BOTH CONTINUED TO LEAK!
One surely expects to not need to use them very frequently once fitted, and when you do need to use them, they should work effectively, well yes they isolated the section of piping, BUT they themselves leaked. removal of them was more of a problem than the situation that caused them to be used to isolate the area!
I thought they were good, now I am not so sure, and it will be with apprehension when I need to use the others to isolate a section of piping! Good Luck to those who fit them and require to use them in the future!
I rarely comment on materials, but replacing them has been a real WET PIG!

Can't say much other than they did the job for which they were wanted.

On first impression these seem reasonable valves.
Contrary to other reviews both sealed okay for me at up to about 1.5-2bar of system pressure.
In terms of internal bore these valves are actually quite good.
The problem I found is trying to turn the screw to actually isolate with them!
You need to use a large screw driver and press hard to firstly overcome the resistance and secondly make sure the screw driver doesn't slip.
Use a 22mm gate valve instead.

I saw the other reviews on here but I've used these with no problems.
Maybe other people had a bad batch...
