I brought these in hope to make working on LCS (Low Carbon Steel barrel pipe) 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch pipe and it is clunky, quite weighty and is not easy to adjust for the pipe to use.
The major setback is that the teeth are dull and it takes a lot of effort for it to get a good bite on the pipe for a grippy turn.
Unfortunately, for this great name "Irwin" they have let themselves down on this product.

Quick release mechanism not as ideal as you think it might be. Compared with the original Stillson this seems like less of an innovation and more like an inconvenience.
The jaws kept on slipping and I felt that there was a lack of grip between upper/lower jaws.
I've given it a 2-star 'Fair' rating because there is the possibility that i'm the problem & that i'm just not using them correctly ( I used them on brass nuts, barrel pipe, etc).
In my opinion they're not value for money.

I bought this wrench in the hope of using it on pump nuts, with a jaw capacity of 57mm i considered this to be perfect But the small jaws prevent any real grip to both pipes and large nuts and i eventually found that this tool stayed in my toolbox more often than not.
