Low quality tool not flat, not square.
blade wasn't anywhere near square when i came to sharpen had to regrind to square, its very hard to alter angle of blade to get it running true with the mouth of the base,
i would stick with the stanley one like i used to use. or a older plane.

Used the Irwin Block Plane to finish the doors for built-in wardrobes. It was easy to trim the side of the wardrobe door whilst hung, reducing the time spent checking the doors closed without catching. I wish I'd bought this tool years ago.
I only started using the tool yesterday but I feel confident that this tool will last a long time, and be well used.

Brilliant 061/2 block plane for the money the sole is flat and square to the sides and the blade is sharp and true but the blade needs fettling before use for the best results also the mouth and blade clamp needs to be good and tight.
I have another 061/2 block plane that costs over £150 believe me you cannot tell the difference in quality of wood finish.
