Rated 5 out of 5Â by hideyourcables good solid knife
Not sure about the other reviewers stating that you needed to dismantle the knife to swap the blade. When the sliding mechanism lines up with the padlock symbol, you can press the yellow button and take the blade out. This is the second one I've had, Really comfortable, heavy enough to make it feel solid but not so heavy its a pain to use.

This knife is so badly designed. When you realise, against all logic, that you need a Philips screwdriver to place the blade, the blade retainer jumps out with its spring and hinge bar. These then need incredible dexterity to replace.
Yes. You only got one blade, when there were supposed to be three, but this is a very very expensive disposable knife. You will never use it again.

Useless. There should have been three blades included - there is only one. Fitting the blade is impossible. I returned it straight away and had a refund.
I bought this because Irwin is a good reputable make and I was very disappointed.
Screwfix should stop selling it.

I am amazed that you have to undo 2 small Philips screws to change the blade what a fiddly job would not recommend
