I tried this plastic beading to provide an edge around the windows for my base-coat plaster. But using plasterboard adhesive I found the large diamond-shape holes weren't sufficient to hold the beading securely - for instance a casual knock ended up with one on the floor. Also the beading is flexible. so I wasn't confident they would give a straight edge. The metal beading is more expensive but I didn't have these two problems.

Great product which as far as I know only Screwfix stocks and at a very good price.

This stop bead is non rusting and non corrosive and therefore is suitable for use inside and outside, and costs less than the equivalent stainless steel bead. It provides a neat straight edge to plaster and rendering at door and window frames and is particularly effective around white PVC frames. I attach it to the frame with double sided sticky tape prior to rendering for easy installation.
