Good product with prompt next day delivery, Easy to fit with small adjustments to the pipe work. Too early to comment on reliability, but it has a 10 year warranty. Good value for money.

I replaced my old copper tank with this unit and thought i would share my experiences.
1/Always wash out the tank as there WILL be bits of foam inside. Mine had lots and you don't want these in your pipes!
2/This tank has 2 side and 1 top hot water connections (total 3, plus the heater exchange coil connections) so if you might need a blanking connection. The description on here and the manufactures site doesn't show you this.
3/ You will need a Incoloy Immersion Heater.
4/ The connection positions WILL be in a different position to your old tank, so don't expect a quick swap out. The British Standards are meant to make easy but it wasn't and all pipes needed adjustment.
Cant comment on reliability...yet. we will see in 10 years time :-)
Hopefully that will help you!

This is a good tank, well made and initial impressions are that it's very efficient. However I had a couple of issues with it. Firstly when I looked inside the tank before fitting there were lots of large bits of insulation in the bottom - this was a real pain to get out, but if I hadn't have checked it would have been even worse as this stuff would have floated and blocked the hot water system - imagine how many extra hours that might have taken to fix! Secondly the immersion flange is weird with hardly any flat sealing surface and almost certainly would not seal with the usual washer, so you need to resort to lots of ptfe! Having the 22mm compression fittings is a real benefit - excellent in a restricted space

Fitting was easy with the connections all at the same heights/positions as the copper cylinder it replaced. The 22mm compression fittings extend further than the tap connectors on the old cylinder - this might be an issue if space is really tight. However it does mean that the compression nuts stand proud of the insulation so doing them up is easy, and you can cut off the old tap connectors and slide the pipes straight into the fittings without extending the pipes. The immersion heater flange is big enough for the sealing washer. The cylinder is well packaged. In operation the water heats effectively. Overall: a quality product I would recommend.
