HSS Engineers Drill Bit Set 11
Having read the mixed reviews for this product I thought I would have a look for myself. I was not expecting much for the price, a similar set or equivalent from a branded manufacture would be at least 8 times the cost. On opening the case many of the smaller numbered drills had fallen out the holder after spending too much time trying to find them all I settled on the fact there were 2 missing. The case is of very poor quality and will not hold the numbered drills securely, using a magnifying glass I could not see any sizes stamped/etched on the shanks therefore once they fall out the holder the only way to establish their size is to use a micrometer. Using a micrometer I did check some of the larger sizes of the numbered drills which were still in the holder and several of those I checked were not of the size stated, now they may have been put in the wrong holder slot but I doubt it. Some did measure correctly. I never actually used any of the drills as I decided I would return them for a refund. If you need numbered or letter drills then you are probably doing some serious engineering and therefore these would probably be a waste of money and risk damaging your work piece but drilling the wrong size hole, I can't really see where the market for them is. I would recommend splashing some cash and buying a branded set or just buy the sizes individually as you need them and if necessary make your own stand.

engineers drill bit set
I found these bits to be strong and sharp, i have not had any snap or dull to quickly.
They come in a good strong box that holds and displays your set very well indeed.
I would have liked multiples of the most used bits but still very happy with my purchase.

waste of time and money
When buying a piece of kit which is intended for precision work, one would expect the tools to be precisely built. Not so with this engineers drill set.
As the bits increase in increments of thousands of an inch, it would be fair to assume that the holes they make would also be as accurate, but the bits - although the correct diameter - were all but a few bent, ground eccentric, and ruined the first component i used them on. I should have gone to the expense of buying reputable drills like Dormer, and saved myself a whole load of hassle.
