Hitachi WH18DSAL/L4 18V Impact Driver - Bare
Absolutely awesome piece of kit. Why had I never come across one before?
Bought the Hitachi drill with two 18v batteries a few days earlier, so this was an ideal partner, using the spare battery.
Very efficient if a little noisy!
Only drawback is now need special impact screwdriver bits and sockets to make full use of it.
** Screwfix should remove the reliability rating - how can you you possibly comment on this after just a few days?

Superb bit of kit
I had been using my Hitachi 4.0Ah drill for general working and for screwing in screws etc. I had impact drivers recommended to me and found this bare unit to go with my batteries. What a revelation!
It is light and makes such easy work of embedding screws. No piloting required really and gets into much better position that the drill ever could as it's so small. The torch is very useful on the front but my only mark down is because of a lack of torque setting.
Otherwise this is an awesome bit of kit. I'm looking forward to putting it to further test building a large wooden climbing frame this week!

Bought on a whim.... best whim
Bought this bare to go along with the hitachi drill also on offer as the drill had an extra battery which i could chuck into this. I've thrown all sorts at it and had no problems at all. Battery seems to last well in fact one feature I do like is the fact the thing will just die when the battery is too low, rather then slowly grinding down to a halt. I'm not trade and to be honest I don't know anyone with an impact driver. I've since recommended purchasing one to several people. Knocks spots of using the drill as a screw driver. My only issue is it does seem to kill bits. It may be me not getting the driver quite square, but it totally shattered several Hitachi bits I bought at the same time.
