Bought this to cut some wet treated timber. Ripped a 4.2m 6x2 without a blink..
Its a bit heavy, but i guess that is the motor.
Sadly no brake on the saw so it takes a while to stop spinning.
The dust extractor needs to be removed before it fits in the box, also you need to swap the lever to a small one before it works with the extractor.
The base is really sturdy and well made.
Biggest criticism is the length of the cable, it is pathetically short.

I have used this saw both as a stand alone one and also mounted on my Triton sawbench and it is a really great saw. It is larger than the other circular saws I bought in the past but it more than makes up for its added size and weight by performance. At the current offer price it is a steal!

This saw is fantastic.
But why do Hitachi have a dust adaptor that no-one can supply a dust bag, or collector for?
