Harris Contractor 12" Woven Roller & Tray Set
Save time & buy one
I have decorated for a number of years now but am in now way an expert, this year I purchased these 12" rollers and use an extending pole and wish I had done it years ago.
The extra width means the roller covers the walls and ceiling so much quicker saving both time and effort. In the one day I managed to paint a long hallway and large bedroom with two coats and still had energy to run after kids later on.
The only downside to these rollers is the cleaning up time, the width of the tray does fit in the base of a standard sink but it is tight. The roller ends have two plastic caps to enable the dual arm holder to fit meaning a lot of paint much remain inside the roller upon washing meaning it takes twice as long to rinse fully out. Solution I think is to use the roller for a dedicated colour only but saying that I would use again and again.

Outside walls, vast ceilings and Berlin Walls dealt with in the blink of an eye. 12 inches wide so a third more coverage than usual, add a pole and your painting is so much more efficient.
Does anyone use these with a tray? Get the pro look, invest in a scuttle and get the job done in even less time. Obv's not so good for those on an hourly rate!

Good value and performance
This is the first time I have used a 12" roller and the time saved and finished achieved is excellent. The frame is sturdy, although the roller is a tad sloppy on the spindle pins, but this doesn't affect performance in use. The rollers supplied are excellent quality and I used them on smooth and not so smooth surfaces. They hold a good quantity of emulsion and roll out well. The plastic tray is very sturdy and also of good quality; larger than I anticipated but all the better for it, as it holds a good amount of paint and requires less refilling. I have subsequently bought an extendable extension pole for the roller frame and this combination really does speed things up, should have done it years ago!!
