Love the idea of GU10 LEDs, however, if you're going to use these in say an office environment you'll need to spend more and buy at least 3 - 5w, as these are not bright enough. Have put three in walk-in wardrobe where they are ideal, and replaced office GU10's with brighter 5w LEDs from wardrobe.

Good if you want a little light - no good if you want to replace 50W GU10 lamps. LED lamps are available that do the job - bit not from Screwfix yet! Come on Screwfix?

Initialy purchased 3 of these to light a porch. I needed a light that would not produce heat due to surrounding insulation.
Blue / white lights highlights oak beams nicley.
very low power consumption.
1 of the 3 failed after 2 years ( they only carry a 1 year gaurantee).
I have not tried LED's from other manufacturers so do not know how they compare.

A very cold white light not for every situation.
Used in my office where 6 normal lights are far too bright and heat the room noticably, whereas these are nice back lighting in combination with desk lamp.
Certainly wouldn't use in a kitchen where you need brightness or anywhere you want a 'cosy' feel, but for a office utlity or unit lighting they are ideal.
Use way less power and give off no heat - and I guess last way longer which is great, tho are a tad expensive!
