Rated 5 out of 5 by Building model aircraft using I am an OAP on a state pension, and I like building model aeroplanes. Balsa wood has got prohibitively expensive so I began experimenting with Depron. It was very hard to find a glue for Depron until Gorilla glue was mentioned. Works really well and gives plenty of time to position parts accurately. Very strong joints and works just as well on gluing wood to Depron. Looked expensive when I first bought it, but the glue seems to last forever, as long as you don't forget to put the cap back on. I found it difficult to keep the nozzle from clogging, and use a stick to apply the glue to parts rather than use the nozzle. Well happy with Gorilla glue and will be building all my model aircraft with it from now on. Latest is an electric powered Junior 60. Great flyer. 13 Feb 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Glue is super, not Superglue Excellent product, has a slight foaming/expanding property which can ensure a tight fit, but don't rely on it, the foam is never as strong as the wood. In normal workshop settings where the joint is a good fit it works really well. It is also a useful problem solver. Note the Safety Data Sheet does not describe what most people would know as superglue. It doesn't bond instantly and it would take 20 minutes to stick your fingers together! Having said that it is a devil to get residue off your fingers. Gloves are recommended. 5 Oct 2015

Answer:
Yes Gorilla Glue will work in this example. We would recommend you lightly score the metal on both sides to provide a key to help adhesion, perhaps using a file or blunt screwdriver. Remember Gorilla Glue is water activated so use a small amount on one surface to help the glue activate. Once applied clamp or tape the surfaces together strongly and ideally leave for 24 hours if possible and protected from the elements. If this is not possible, Gorilla Glue is typically 80% bonded after 2 hours. Gorilla Glue is 100% waterproof once dried.

Answer:
Yes - Gorilla Glue is able to withstand a wide range of temperatures.
The Glue cures (dries) between 40 - 130 degrees Fahrenheit but is best cured at room temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once cured (dried) the glue will withstand between -40 degrees up to +212 degrees Fahrenheit.
Gorilla Glue is food safe once cured.
