Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorilla time saver I used the Gorilla glue to secure wooden batons onto a tilled bathroom floor for securing a toilet too. This saved time on drilling into very hard floor tiles. The cistern is mounted to the wall, so it was only to made the bowel steady. The glue is easy to apply, apply it to face, for me the wood, then wet the other surface, for me the tiles. Bring the two together and within two hrs it is firmly set in place. As noted by other just watch the foam squeeze out. The glue expands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good glue but a bit pricey A bit expensive but performs well. Good product though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive gorilla glue I quite like gorilla glue for some applications, beware though, gap filling is a sort of foam not a solid material. I bought this 250 ml size product thinking I would be getting 500ml at the price, as available elsewhere, sad as normally good prices at Screwfix.

Can it repair sandstone

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes - Gorilla Glue can be used on stone & ceramic. In fact it dries to a Sandstone colour when dry and so will probably dry without any additional painting / staining required. We are aware it has been used successfully in this application

Will this grip rubber?

I need to waterproof product to glue a car tyre to the rim so that at Lower tyre pressures off road it will stop the tyre from spinning on the rim. Will this or another gorill aproduct do th job?
Asked by: jimt
This is a very unusual application, and is not something we have tested using our products. In the absence of any specific testing, we can supply an opinion only. We would not normally recommend Gorilla Glue for this purpose - we have a NEW product Gorilla Grab Adhesive which is flexible and can be applied to metal & rubber. This could be suitable for your purpose however we could not guarantee its long term durability in the absence of thorough testing.

Can this be machined once it has set?

I'm looking for an adhesive that will bond laminated sections in wood. These are then turned on a lathe. I've seen some comments that this adhesive cannot be removed when set. Just how hard is it?
Asked by: Tammistar
It is not actually that hard in the scheme of things, on a par with wood rather than stone or metal. It does stick extremely well and it is difficult to remove excess once fully cured; i do it after about 3 - 4 hours. As it expands to around 3 times its original volume if it is able there can be a fair amount of excess to remover at the edges especially if you over do it. I think it would be ideal for what you require, just remember to clamp the parts together well otherwise it will force the layers apart as it tries to expand and you will end up with a layer of what appears to be dense foam.

will this product stick metal to metal

Asked by: johnf618
Yes - Gorilla Glue will bond metal to metal. If the substrates are both smooth or painted, we would recommend scoring the substrates to create a key, and enable the glue to adhere better. We would recommend you remover any excess residue prior to the glue bonding. Gorilla Glue can be painted / sanded / stained after use.

I have wooden coffee table with loose glass on it.. Will this glue stick the glass with wooden??

Asked by: Dharmin
Yes - Gorilla Glue will bond glass and wood together. It does however dry to a beige colour which cab then be painted / stained. If you require a clear finish you could consider Gorilla superglue (for internal use only) or Gorilla Epoxy adhesive. We also produce a Crystal Clear Heavy Duty Mounting Double Sided Tape which could be useful for this application.
