Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality for the price Nice modern looking sink. Looks more expensive than it is. The fixing system is OK, although had to use a bit of force to get it fully seated. The only downsides to this sink is the flimsy metal cover that goes on the overflow. Can't see that still being in place after a tenant has been using it for six months. And the fitting instructions are a bit scant. Would buy again though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rust and Very Thin Gauge After three days of using this sink there are two signs that it's low quality. Firstly, after the very first use rust spots appeared in the bowl, we have a dishwasher and therefore only use the sink for swilling things out. No standing water was left in the sink and it was wiped dry straightaway. This indicates it's made from very low grade stainless steel. Secondly, the gauge is so thin that the whole tap moves and the sink flexes when you use the tap. I didn't expect either of these issues from a brand such as Franke. I certainly regret buying this for our new kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Nice to buy a sink that comes with the waste kit incl. & is the newer design too (unlike some other well known shops). Delivered very quickly. Make sure you measure carefully as it needs gluing down and you'll only get one chance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy fit Just fitted this sink for a customer. Very simple to fit. Just read the instructions on the underside of sink. Nice to have the waste fittings supplied, unlike other stores! Very good price for the complete package.

Which way does the drainer sit?

Hi, Can you tell me which way the drainer sits if there is a pre cut tap hole?

Worktop Thinkness

I was going to get one of these units but I am uncertain about the "click to fit" approach. My worktop is thicker than the average worktop at nearer to 50mm. I assume that the sink will not fit it?
Asked by: Niki

Is the slimfix fitting system on the Franke S.S sink suitable for fitting into granite worktop?

Asked by: Garath

There are no tap holes shown on the picture. This model of sink is reversible. Does it come with one tap hole cut on each side (needing a blanking plug) or do we cut the tap hole on the side we need it ?

Asked by: JohnEFK
Just in case anyone is still wondering, I can confirm there are 2 tap holes in this sink for left or right hand fitting. There is a supplied tap hole cover for the unused tap hole.

Is the tap hole pre-cut or does it need to be drilled? Thank you.

The specifications say there is one tap hole and that the drainer is reversible.
Asked by: Kevinthx
Hello, the taphole on the Ascona sink is pre-cut.
