Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looking but with issues Good looking tap and nice finish, but was a pain to fit, with the odd tail assembly and the plastic collar/clamp arrangement. One installed it looked good and worked well, but only three months in and the hot side tap has become stiff? The hot flow is disappointing as others have commented, despite it being gravity fed with plenty of head?! Reading other reviews, it looks like it's only a matter of time before it starts dripping, but fingers crossed it's not.......yet! Overall a disappointment, as I expected more from the brand and especially at this price point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ceramic valve replacement Needed to replace the ceramic valve but impossible to remove. Damaged the valve so badly trying to remove it I had to replace the whole tap. Checking online I found that many people experienced the same problem, so much so, that a special tool has now been produced to remove these stubborn valves. It appears that the valves fitted have a two sided head as opposed to the usual six sided which makes removing it almost impossible without a special tool.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor performance This tap does NOT work well on low pressure systems such as gravity fed hot water systems from a header tanks via a hot water cylinder. Therefore Please Note. This it is NOT as described by Screwfix, i.e. suitable for High and Low Pressure Systems

Rated 2 out of 5 by from franke ascona washout I purchased this tap a few years ago and like other reviewers it started to drip after less than a year. I examined the tap and ascertained that it was the hot water side that was causing the problem. Since it was still in guarantee I contacted the service dept for Franke in the UK and obtained a new Hot valve. The pack also included the cold valve. Again after a few months it failed again so I obtained another set of valves. When it happened again I decided to strip down the unit to find out what was happening to the hot side. The cold has never been a problem. It appeared that the fault was in a small nylon washer, the ceramic parts were perfect and the rest seemed to be in good order. Since I already had 2 cold units I stripped one down and used the washer in the hot part. It worked perfectly until a few months later when a drip started again. I have now used all my accumulated spares and again have a drip! A very good tap ruined by a small part failure.
