Simply .... It's not square. I found this out some weeks after purchase while wondering why I couldn't seem to get accurate 90 degree cuts marked out. Extremely frustrating; you had ONE job square!
Oh well, too late to return it I guess, so I suppose I can take the aluminium bit off and at least use it as a straight edge & ruler. Although I guess I should check that the measurement markings are accurate ....

Ok at first, but ANY knock or bump will render it useless. Where the blade is molded to the handle part it has 3 type of rivets, if these are disturbed in any way the set square becomes loose. Its only a mm or 2 but enough to make it no longer accurate.

I bought this square as I have used one in the past, and find the weight and ergonomics the best for an engineer's square. The handle is light (as unlike some cheaper squares it is not a solid lump of metal) and therefore easy to handle. This makes it easy when the handle is over the egde and not supported, as it doesn't have the tendancy to topple and cause the rule part to separate from the piece you are squaring against.
A perfect DIY'ers square and with the decent length allows for a range of wood and metal working needs.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by AmazingLady Good solid product
I brought this to use at home for DIY and I found the weight and feel of the item heavier than I expected. Nice and solid and strong, not flimsy at all.
The marking were precise and clear to use. Great product.
