Standard feather edge
Just a standard feather edge ... if you need one then buy this it'll do the job.

I bought this tool despite reading the other poor reviews. Its a little unhelpful when a product has older negative reviews and no response from Screwfix or the manufacturer and one is left not sure if its worth buying or not. Anyway, I bought this Feather Edge and its fine for DIY and light Trade Use. It was straight and did the job of ruling off the plastering I was doing no problem.

Is it made of wood?
After spending a lot of money at Screwfix over the last year, I felt the time has come to start reviewing some of my purchases.
This has to be the worst product I have come across. Its bowed so badly you could make a better one from wood. Its not just on the flat edge but the thin feather edge and along its strongest plane. Like a BOOMERANG!
Imagine placing the feather edge against a flat surface and then looking down from above. The gap in the middle is 3-4 mm. Yes you can push it really hard to try and make contact across the full length but this isn't how this tool is intended to be used. Also it requires a lot of pushing to get it even remotely flat.
Its a huge waste of time having to go back and return the item when it could be made correctly in the first place.

Do Not Buy
This is the worst straight edge I have ever come across. Why? - Its bent the last 500mm simply curves off, not bent on the flat surface like if it was bent in transit but on the feather edge its self, maybe its a one off but I am loosing faith with forge steel as I have bought a good few items based on my first experience with them but im now realising its cheap junk and not for everyday trade use.
