Rated 1 out of 5 by from unusably flimsy The free play in this cheap moulded plastic box - even when attached to a solid base - makes it useless. I ended up making my own box from wood offcuts. About the only thing that differentiates this from a conventional mitre box is the sticker on top. Had Forge Steel tools in the past that have been perfectly usable but this is one to avoid, especially at this price

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Patching in I was Patching a piece of coving in after removing a pipe box at a friends house and this ticked all the boxes made the job so easy would definitely recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Excellent product so easy to use. Diagrams on too showing you which cut to do in relation to room is very useful

Rated 2 out of 5 by from poor quality product Good for cutting the internal and external coving angles, but it is made of cheap plastic, which frays (black plastic shavings on the floor) and having been clamped to a work-bench, it still bends, affecting the saw angles. Like others I was scratching my head trying to work out the angles for 125mm coving, and whilst this has helped, it won't last long enough for future coving jobs. Buy a wooden mitre block and add your own pieces of wood to the height of your coving.

Hello fithawk,as long as this is no bigger than 127mm i dont see why this wouldn't be a problem thank you for using Q and A.JB

I have plaster coving 110x106 to cut. Would this be suitable?

The product says 100mm and 127mm, but with all my dimensions being in between these values, would I be able to pad it out to work?
Asked by: JasonJudge
Hi Jason, due to the two step design that is found in the Coving box unless you are using the 4 or 5 inch Coving it will mean cutting is made difficult and will likely result in a poor quality cut. we could only recommend using the sizes stated. in the product description
