The right hand thread on the flush knob was documented (but not highlighted tho!).
As this was different to the part I removed to fit the new one this caught me out. A tie?
But after 24hrs the cistern water is now always siphoned through to the pan! A part fail

Bought one at the strat of 2014. Fitting was easy, althought I had to adapt the cistern opening to take the lever. Now September 14 and the flust system is sticking, causing a constant water flow into toilet. I've removed the twist off unit and cleaned it, but still persisting? luckily its easy to replace.

I was very impressed with this conversion kit. Fits easily, and the cable operation is very light. It was particularly easy to set the flush levels via the sliders.
If your cistern has the old-style ball valve, you may find that the ball fouls the cable. If so, a fill valve such as the Opella Torbeck solves the problem. Has a very small float that operates quite close to the fill valve shaft.

Give your old LOO a new lease of life! Ive fitted several of these now with no problem. It is quick and easy and can be used on close coupled or separate cistern installations.
And for anyone with joint problems and an old loo that refuses to flush without vigorous cranking these are a must. Just a gently push of the handle is all that is required. And whats more the dual flush action and the option to set the flush to a lower use of water without the need to install water savers in the cistern mean they can save on water too!
