Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, great price! These were bought for a garden path that we were building and are fantastic. Easy to put together, really solid and well made - they've delivered exactly what we needed. Couple this with the great process, price and customer service via Screwfix and it's all been very very good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Brilliant product, very easy to install. We had a very tricky sloping area that we needed to put a pathway in (before one of us broke our necks), this did the job perfectly. We used pea shingle size stones and they were perfect. No more slipping over and the stones stay where they are supposed to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from long term review These have been in regular use for three years, and have resisted wear exceptionally well. There are two comments to make - when following the manufacturer's instructions to make a driveway/driveway extension do not use pebbles or shingle - use 10mm-15mm aggregate rather than anything smaller or you will spend a lot of time digging out small weeds and moss. I used granite 10mm chippings in one place - which has seen only a small amount of weeding required whereas in another place I used 2mm grit (granite) - it is a firm surface but prone to weeds. The other comment is take time to accurately measure the ground work prior to usage to save slight dips/bumps in use which can cause a trip hazard.

Upside down install

Can this product be clicked together then turned over and carefully pushed into grass and soil (after a long soaking) and still be suitable to drive on afterwards? i already have a good lawn, i don't particularly want to dig it all up to have to re-lay it
Asked by: Geoff12
This product could be installed upside down however the bottom of the grids have spikes on which stick into the ground so if you were to install it upside down then you would need to remove all of the spikes.

Is it possible to lay these in a single row to create a driveway

I have to create a driveway up a slight incline and need to leave a lower section in the middle to allow a vehicle with a low sump to be driven up it successfully.
Asked by: Drdee
As long as the ground guard is installed to the correct installation instructions from the FloPlast website then there is no reason why you should not be able to use a single row of tiles.

Drainage on driveway

The ground in my garden is heavy clay and is prone to water logging. If I'm to use this to solve churning grass up by the side of my driveway, do I need to put anything underneath the tiles such as aggregate?
Asked by: Gordoneun
You will need to lay a 2cm layer or sand under the tiles.

what depths do you need of hard core and sand.

Asked by: buckeroo
It will depend on what the use of the Ground Guard is for. If it is to be used with soil then you just need a 2cm base of sand. If it is to be used with gravel i.e on a drive way then you will need 15cm of type 1 (hardcore) with a membrane and 2cm of sand.
