Right, where do I begin, I plumbed in an entire central heating system using floplast only materials, I even watched the video screw fix put up about these items.
Did you notice when the man removed the fitting that the insert was still inside the fitting, this happens about 90% of the time, it's really annoying when your In a tight space, and pulling the insert out of the fitting afterwards is almost impossible.
The elbows in particular really annoy me, in any spot where the fitting is tight it just does not stay leak proof and pulling the collar back in a tight space also majorly difficult. I once cut the fitting off with a multi tool.
I would recommend this product, but not on their very tightly wound floplast piping. On this major job I've done, I've gone back and replaced persistent leaky joints onto copper and in one case resorted to compression elbows instead for a particularly difficult and tight corner.
I was attracted to the product based on price, for a new build I love it. For retro fitting, I'd go Tectite brass now. Sadly screw fix which is an amazing website and company only do Tectite copper, which I didn't like either.
Back to this product and all floplast push fit joints. If money is not an issue go to hep20, if it is an issue, just be ultra vigilant.
