do these fixings leave a gap behibd the mirror?
i am looking to fit a 4 ft by 1 ft mirror looking at this picture it looks like these fit to the wall them the mirror just sits on the 4 bads with no support anywhere els so if a child leans on it in the middle the mirror would smap as mirrors don't bend even 4mm, please advize,
Thank you for your question. Just the same as a large mirror in a wooden frame that stands proud of the wall, care should be taken to ensure it is safe for people.
You could use more than one pack to reduce the distance between fixings untill you feel the support of the mirror is sufficient or pack the rear of the mirror.

Are these mirror fixings strong enough to hold a 6ft by 4ft mirror on plasterboard? The mirror was on this wall but we took it down four years ago and now want to put it back up.
Bathroom wall, above the bath.
It is difficult to be too specific as you do not say the thickness of the plasterboard or the weight of the mirror.
The fischer HM6, hollow wall anchor, will hold around 20kgs/fixing onto 12.5mm plasterboard.

Afternoon, would 4x fixings going back through 12mm plasterboard into 2x 18mm ply support 20 Kg of weight?
If not, can you recommend anything that would do the job please?
Thank you for your enquiry,
I would discard the plug and screw and just fix the brackets with a 5mm Ø x 45mm wood or chipboard screw in to the ply. Make sure the countersunk part of the screw sits just below the surface of the cork ring so that it does not scratch the mirror. 2 of the brackets at the bottom will easily support 20kg and the top ones will just hold it in at the top.

hey my mirror is around 25kg will i need to buy 2 sets?
Thanks for your enquiry, the weight of the mirror is held by the bottom anchors and each of these will hold 7kg, so you will require 4 fixings on the bottom. The fixings at the top are there to keep the top tight to the wall and don't actually take much weight. You will need 2 sets.

Fischer states on their reply to a question that these fixings can hold up to 20kgs per fixing but on the packet it states they only holds 7kgs (overall or each bracket), which is right? My mirror weighs 9.7kgs.
Please can you tell me how many fixings this would require? Fixing into brickwork,
Sorry for the confusion. The original question was answered to give a recommendation for another fixing as it was to be installed into plasterboard.
You are correct that the 'Packet' of fixings says it can support a 7kg mirror.
This is to be safe for all typical substrates.
I can confirm that one pack of these will support your 9.7kg mirror into a brick wall.
