Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great chemical anchor Recently ran out of chemical anchor supplied on site so had to pop out to Screwfix for a couple of tubes of this. Does exactly what's required; sets rapidly and permanently. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff Have used it before and it is brilliant. Just remember that you need a special gun to use it, it doesn't fit a normal mastic gun

Is this product suitable for use on thermalite blocks

Asked by: Chello
Thanks for your enquiry, Yes FIS VT 380 C is suitable for aerated blocks however we normally recommend the use of the PBB cone drill to create a cone within the block. This makes it really strong. Just drilling a straight hole 2mm larger than the stud will work but will not be as strong as the cone system. You will have to contact us for further information. Regards Technical

Will this product secure a floor standing steel gun safe to a lightweight block wall to the approval of the police?

Asked by: 38special
The fischer FIS VT resin will be ideal. This will be the strongest, most secure system for fixing back to block. Unfortunately I have no idea what the police expect.

Can it hold a large flatscreen TV

Is this strong enough to hold Wall Anchors in a old Victorian masonry wall above a filled in fire place? As currently the hole just chips away and the Anchors just spin.
Asked by: Ellioth
Resin requires only threaded rods in a cleaned out drill hole that is only 2mm larger than the threaded rod. If used correctly into decent masonry it will hold around 150kgs per fixing

Once started

Once I've started using the resin does the whole tube need to be used in one go, or can I stop and come back to it later? i.e. does it cure in the nozzle? Thanks.
Asked by: Meatyard
Thanks for your enquiry. When you use the resin, Take the cap off the cartridge and fix the mixing nozzle, squeeze out about 50mm to ensure that it is a nice consistent grey colour, then use in the holes. Leave the nozzle on when you have finished (do not replace the cap) The resin will keep perfectly well until its expiry date. When you wish to use again simply replace nozzle and start again. Regards Technical.

Can it be used to fix dowel (starter) bars into the wall.

I need to fix 10mm rebar bars into exerting wall and the other end will go into concrete slab.
Asked by: Bob2016
Thank for your enquiry, FIS VT 380 C is suitable for masonry and concrete. If using M10 threaded rod the drill hole Ø will be 12mm if using 10mm Rebar the drill hole Ø will be 14mm Regards Technical.
