Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great chemical anchor Recently ran out of chemical anchor supplied on site so had to pop out to Screwfix for a couple of tubes of this. Does exactly what's required; sets rapidly and permanently. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff Have used it before and it is brilliant. Just remember that you need a special gun to use it, it doesn't fit a normal mastic gun

Stick down patio step tread?

Hi. Would this be suitable to stick down a sandstone step tread that has come loose from it's concrete base? Thanks
Asked by: AnttheGr8
Thanks for your enquiry. The Vinylester resin is designed to bond threaded rod in to a hole drilled in masonry or concrete. If you were to employ this technique to your step It would work very well, however if you want to use it as a glue, you would need to try it to see if it meets your requirements as we have no data to support that use. You would need to key both surfaces properly if you do decide to try this. Regards Technical

Max pull force?

I need to secure a ground anchor in concrete, is there a max pull force rating for this product? Many thanks Bob
Asked by: Picachu
Resin products are designed for use with threaded rod and rebar. If you email technical@fischer.co.uk we will send a technical data sheet for the various pull out strengths of the different diameters.

Workable and cure time?

What is the workable and cure times for this resin?
Asked by: Sacrid
At 10-20°C the 'gelling time' (the time you get from starting to express the resin to letting go of the threaded rod) is 5minutes. It is fully cured in 60 minutes. It is temperature dependant and printed on the cartridge.

Is this the same as...

Aside from perhaps a different cure time, is this the same product as FIS V (Screwfix item 88507) in a larger tube? Both described as hybrid mortar....
Asked by: Niss
Thanks for your enquiry. FIS VT 380 c and FIS V 360 are very similar and in brickwork will give exactly the same results. FIS VT requires a coaxial application gun and has the advantage of being suitable for flooded holes. The FIS V 360 requires a shuttle cartridge gun and will give slightly better results in concrete. It can be use in wet holes but not flooded. Regards Technical.

What colour is it?

Asked by: Loveproperties
The resin cures to a 'battleship grey' but its normal use to hold threaded rods into concrete or masonry would never see it.
