Rated 5 out of 5 by Fernox Leak Sealer This product performs excellently for jointing BSP fittings as well as sealing 'old' weaping joints. A must have for all tool boxes! It is silicone based but the fittings are watertight immediately so you do not need to allow time for the paste to cure. NOT FOR USE ON GAS FITTINGS. 12 Oct 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sort of works Stopped major leak, but joint is a bit damp, so clearly it is still leaking. 11 Aug 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by No good for mains pressure I should have believed the other reviewers who say this will not seal leaks in mains pressure. Water will just push the sealant away, and it will not stick to the pipe . It's just silicone sealant - but in a tiny tube at a high price. I finally fixed the job with epoxy instead. 5 Aug 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not perform as described Totally useless on external non pressure leak.Maybe OK on compression fittings. Tried 5 times to stop a slight drip from the inlet to the ball cock. Even with the pressure turned off would not seal against gravity. Because of the way the fitting comes from the wall I was hoping this would work to save having to remove some of the tiles. Guess I should have gone with my instinct about using this type of product. Will do a proper job tomorrow, 22 Jul 2016

The soil pipe was new 2 years ago. Where this meets the ground I notice there is a small leak of water on floor. Is this product good to close this small leaking?

Answer:
Hello Convey766. The LS-X will be able to stop small leaks, as long as it is applied to a dry surface and give sufficient time (about an hour) to set. Hope this helps.

Bath waste

How will this work on a bath waste as ours leaks when draining? Racking my brains as I feel could be an issue with the threading due to a few attempts with a few bottle traps?

Answer:
Hello Stick71. LS-X will be fine to use on the bath waste, however you need to make sure the surface is clean and dry. Apply a thin layer and wait for an hour before using the bath again. Hope this helps.

My shower trap is leaking between the rubber under seal to the bottom of the tray. If I loosen the trap and put some of this in where the rubber seal is, is this stuff suitable?

Does this act like an adhesive and make it difficult to remove in the future or can it be removed easily?

Yes LS-X is suitable for this use, it will act like an adhesive but can be peeled/scraped off if you need to remove it.
