Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fernox Leak Sealer This product performs excellently for jointing BSP fittings as well as sealing 'old' weaping joints. A must have for all tool boxes! It is silicone based but the fittings are watertight immediately so you do not need to allow time for the paste to cure. NOT FOR USE ON GAS FITTINGS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Sticky Sealant Great product to ensure a leak free thread-thread joint. Never used as an external leak sealer, but have used it for flanges and gaskets. Performs better than Hawk in some circumstances, and for certain material combinations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FERNOX Sealer Good stuff worked well and seals well. If there was a problem the sealer seems to seal in Black Iron Oxide from the system into your fingers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outdoor tap leak Great product. I had to move my outdoor tap up and removed the tap from the wall plate. Reconnected but couldn't get a good seal with PTFE tape. Used this in conjunction with the tape and worked first time. Great product.

I have fitted a new close coupled toilet cistern and have a reoccurring leak where the braided metal hose for the water inlet meets the plastic thread fitting of the new cistern inlet. Is this product suitable for this type of application? Thanks!

Answer:
Hello GuigsyWigsy. LS-X would work fine for this. Please make sure you turn off the water and re-make the joint using LS-X and that should solve the problem.

The soil pipe was new 2 years ago. Where this meets the ground I notice there is a small leak of water on floor. Is this product good to close this small leaking?

Answer:
Hello Convey766. The LS-X will be able to stop small leaks, as long as it is applied to a dry surface and give sufficient time (about an hour) to set. Hope this helps.

Bath waste

How will this work on a bath waste as ours leaks when draining? Racking my brains as I feel could be an issue with the threading due to a few attempts with a few bottle traps?

Answer:
Hello Stick71. LS-X will be fine to use on the bath waste, however you need to make sure the surface is clean and dry. Apply a thin layer and wait for an hour before using the bath again. Hope this helps.
