Rated 5 out of 5 by from fence repair spike Bought this product after reading the previous reviews and they were spot on. It took me less than hour to prepare the broken post hole to flitting the new post. The bolt on the side is a great idea which allows the post slide in easily and then tighten up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, excellent product Excellent product. I trimmed old post stub level with concrete (using a multi-cutter with Bosch blade). Then drilled rows of 10mm dia holes, 16 cm deep, along two sides of the old post, as guides for the repair spike. Using post support driving tool (an offcut of a fence post will do), I drove repair spike with sledgehammer, resulting in a very secure anchorage for replacement fence post.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solid product Have used repair spikes before, but got these because the last one I used was a little flimsy and jammed my spike driving tool through the base! These are much better. Made of strong metal, with solid bases and have the bolt adjuster for when the post is slightly thicker than expected! Drove in well. Only required the one, but know I have another if a post goes again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from repair spike The fence post repair spike proved very easy to use. once the old post had been cut off above the concrete the spike was driven into the what was left of the concrete encased bottom of the post. The spike followed the corner of the timber and tightened up as it was knocked down into place. It remained vertical throughout the operation. Once driven level with the existing timber the new post was dropped into the socket and tightened up with the clamp bolts. The bolts allow for a degree of vertical realignment if necessary. Easy to use and very rewarding.

I'm replacing my garden arch, & there is concrete in the ground where where the previous one was.

Do you think this repair spike would be strong enough to support the arch, pls? (rather than using fence post spikes)

Thx

Answer:
Hi KevnR,

The minimum you would required would be the hammer, but a post driver in the correct size would be a useful addition.

Thank you for using Q and A.
