As an amateur - not professional - user, I've had mine for a couple of years now, cutting concrete, granite etc in west of Ireland. As easy as slicing bread and you can do very accurate cuts: amazing value, particularly if (as now) Screwfix have knocked a bit off the price - why would you ever hire one? It does kick out vast amounts of dust so make sure you have eye protection, dust mask etc.

Whilst cutting is not as fast as the equivalent size petrol-powered saw (I compared against a Husqvarna model that was hired in), it is half the price with the added bonus of no fumes whilst working indoors.

The saw seems well made and much easier to use the the petrol ones taking forever to get started and never wanting to idle and cut out.
This saw is nice and easy pick it up, pull the trigger and your off.
I dont think it has quite as much guts as the petrol ones but enough.
I'm not sure if its the machine or the blade. but its not the best cut. cuts ok on concrete but really struggles with limestone. (Only things ive cut so far with it)
Evolution have been sneaky and made a bore size that only fits there blades. But!
Just bought a reducing ring for the Bore and will get a turbo blade and see if its any better.

I decided to try this electric cutter as the constant feeding of the 2 stroke petrol mix and the physical effort of starting the engine in the petrol version was getting a bit much. It was so easy, plug in and go its that simple, it comes with a diamond blade which appears very good quality I was cutting engineering bricks and concrete blocks with mine and it sailed through them, when I originally took it out of the box it seemed the cam for the blade was on the wrong side (opposite side to petrol cutters) and thought it would obscure the view of cut but it doesn't. I am very pleased with it and wont be using my petrol saw again unless absolutely necessary, I cant comment on the reliability at the moment as I haven't used it for long enough but at present its all good.
