Evolution Build SDS4-800 2.5kg SDS Plus Hammer Drill 230V
I thought about buying something a little bigger to drill into concrete as i had a large job to erect steel barriers
The drill performed like a pro although the drill got a little hot drilling after a while (i had 13mm drill bit to go 150mm deep... times that buy 40)
as you would expect even with my old AEG drill
So for the price i have a very good drill that can cope and thats after one job
Added bonus with features of a 4 in 1 combo drill
So good thinking of saying im up rating to evolution tools !!!!!

Not sure about reliability
Bought this drill for removing some large 1960's glass tiles. Initially worked well but seemed to spark more than expected around the brushes., After a couple of days use on and off it was really sparking and then stopped. I dropped the side off and looked at the brushes as I thought they had maybe stuck but found both had completely worn out and there was nothing left? To give credit to Screwfix they did offer a full refund of replacement. I took the replacement as assuming I just had a bad one given revolution reputation. So here's hoping

Feels like a toy
I bought this a good few months ago but never used it, so until 2 days ago it was still brand new in box. Picked it up as I havent felt like using the 5kg sds for a quick 2m long chase to an already cut brickwall. That is how long it lasted, about 10 minutes really, after that the hammer action was gone, which makes it totally useless now. On top of that, it was probably the weakest drill ive ever used, very weak impact on chiseling action, and the chuck does not fully lock when set to chiseling mode, therefore if you slightly twist the drill, the chuck will let go and rotate.
Ive used some cheap drills before, but this is honestly the worst of all.
For a cheap sds, go with Titan, they seem to be more reliable...

An okayish piece of kit, found it struggling after a few days work, so not really man enough for the medium to big jobs. Essentially the hammer mechanisim started to failed even though the job wasn't that demanding. Screwfix did replace without a quibble, although the replacement is now showing signs of the same failure. I would spend a bit more and get a better brand
