Erbauer ERP506HTL 10.8V 1.3Ah Li-Ion Cordless Multi-Cutter
Good but not great
I bought this multi-tool out of necessity for a job and have been in love with the multi-tool idea ever since. I was going to buy a Makita corded but noticed this and thought I would give it a try. Now for a DIY user I would say its ideal, for someone in the trade I would advise you to avoid it. Screwfix product support team say the battery should last up to an hour, during normal light use (cutting 3mm ply) it died after 15-20 mins.
As a test I removed the blade and left it running with a battery that was fully charged, (leaving it charging for 6 hours as per Product Support recommendation) Keep in mind no blade, no load, just left running. The battery died in 17 minutes.
To sum up, for a DIY'er its probably ideal but to all professionals out there I would avoid it.
Cordless Li-Ion for £100
Comes with blades and sanding pad included
Pretty decent carry case
Lovely to hold and use
Light weight and low vibration
Poor battery life.

A good tool for the money
The tool itself is perfectly capable of light to medium works but after a month of sporadic light (mainly plasterboard pocket cutting) use the two original batteries failed to charge once they had drained through use - Both of these have been exchanged with the new ones currently working OK but it does leave some doubt as to a possible fault with some battery packs.

excellent tool useless battery
The tool is very good but is let down by rubbish batteries. The first tool, one of the batteries stopped working and would not charge.
Replacement works better but the batteries only last a few minutes under load.

Erbauer cordless multitool
Had this unit for nearly 2 years and I use it everyday for a multitude of jobs.
Batteries don't last forever but it's a compact tool and you should expect to have to charge it often if you use it all day.
Other than that it's a brilliant bit of kit and well worth the price.
