D For the money this is a very good router. I use Industrial Bosch routers but needed a medium size router. Did not t want to spend too much on one. This is ideal 19 Jul 2015
Good DIY Router Good tool for the DIYer. Get a decent set of Bits and you'll find this Router plenty good enough. Has a good carry case and basic accessories to get you started. 19 Jun 2015
Star I needed a router to finish of my grandsons bedroom, saw this one and thought the price is good Never used a router before, it was easy to set up, variable speed which helps because I was scared of this tool, but found easy to handle, am a very happy DIY'er 13 Feb 2015
Good purchase I've had two Bosch routers and they have both burnt out,I don't do enough to warrant a good DeWalt so I'm trying this one, so far so good. I haven't had it long enough to rate the reliability very good. I've had this brand of biscuit jointer for several years with no problems so I have a good degree of confidence in this router. It's done the chamfering on some bookshelves with ease. 7 Feb 2015

Answer:
Hi Model T,
Like all modern routers, for health and safety reasons, the on / off switch must be held down during use. The wording from the Instructions says "For safety reasons the On/Off switch of the
machine cannot be locked; it must remain pressed during the entire operation."
I hope this information is of help to you.
