Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality tile saw Purchased this saw for a one of job using large 600 x 300mm tiles for the fire place surrounding a wood burning stove. An awkward enclosed space and thought the tile saw would make the job quicker and neater. I was absolutely right, the saw performed beyond my expectations for the price and I wouldn't hesitate recommending it. Quick clean cuts as you would expect and also the ability to trim the tiles after the initial cut which I have had difficulty doing with cheaper less powerful cutters. The drain plug feature for cleaning up is superb. 7 Jun 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great piece of kit This is my second purchase of one of these cutters my first was 6yrs old and my son nicked it a fantastic bit of kit for the money I use it day in day out as it's my trade the cut is much better than my rubi which cost 3 times as much i would advise upgrading the cutting wheel to a more expensive wet and dry blade 24 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good tile saw for the money After borrowing my mates old electric tile saw several times, that he bought from screwfix years ago, I thought it was about time I invested in one myself. Upgrading to a saw with a 750W motor seems like a good move, this cutter goes through ceramic tiles pretty easily. If you take your time and push the tile through the blade slowly you will get a near 'chip-free' cut, ram em through quicker and you will get more chipping, but, unless you need a 'close to perfect edge' the standard disc that comes with this cutter seems more than adequate to produce a high standard cut. I can't vouch for reliability just yet, as I've only done 100+ cuts with the saw thus far, but it's showing no signs of struggling at all. I like that the guide rail tightens front and back (but with only one screw) and does hold the guide firmly in place, so you can get pretty accurate with the cuts. The water reservoir holds enough water to last all day, so no need to keep topping up and with plenty of clearance around the disc blade, there's no clogging up with tile debri, like I experienced with my mates old saw. I've only used the saw outside and in bright light and found the laser line next to useless, so kept it switched off. Maybe it would be more useful in dimmer conditions All in all a good buy I reckon 16 May 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent Tile Saw Bought this having seen previous reveiws. Its not as good on larger format tiles as my ancient machine which this replaced. The main issue is the parallel guide device which is a bit flimsy and fiddly to set. If you have to cut above 230mm then you need to extend the deck and immediately the parallel guide becomes a bit hit and miss. The supplied blade is OK but does not last long if you're cutting porcelain. After about 10 cuts it started chipping really badly. I've just ordered a fancy disc which hopefully will last much much longer. Other than those points it seems to be a good value machine for normal sized ceramic tiles... 27 Apr 2016

Answer:
Hello,

The blade that comes with this item is our standard tile saw blade, as such if the cut is not to your standard it would be recommended to purchase a blade of your choosing to use with this product. The blade specification is 180mm x 22.2mm bore.

Also if you are having issues with chipping then it may be an idea to turn the face of the tile away from you and cut the opposite face (or vice versa) for best results.

Hope this helps

You would be able to cut tiles of that size if you support the tile as it moves off the table.

Hello Lily3po, thank you for your question.
choosing the correct blade for the job is vital when cutting tiles and ensure that you wear suitable personal protective equipment when using a tile saw. This Erbauer tile saw takes 180mm Diamond Blades, you'll need one suitable for glass. Our range of 180mm diamond blades can be found here > http://www.screwfix.com/c/tools/cut...
