Despite some positive reviews on this saw, I have to say please don't waste your money on this. I was building an extension two years ago. My friend bought an Evolution equivalent sized sliding saw, which despite some adjustment issues he is still using regularly. I bought the Erbauer because he had some fiddly issues. 10 days out of warranty the main bearing hub that carries the saw blade collapsed in the middle of a job. No repair service. The blade retaining screw is so tight I will have to grind it off, try and repair it myself or throw it away. Hardly used it except for a few jobs where it made less than perfect mitres.
Looks like a bin job! Put your money towards a more expensive make and save in the long run.

I purchased this saw to undertake a decking project, as my existing chop saw wasn't a sliding saw, so couldn't cut the 2x6 joists.
This saw was much more sturdy and heavy then expected, and very well made. The pull-out sliding support was very useful, as was the adjustable stop guides.
The blade cut well, and with more teeth than on most saws, it did a good job with the the hardwood (balau) decking.
I'm very pleased with this saw.

Ordered this saw on-line. Looking for a middle of the road saw for DIY. Read the reviews and thought that this might be the saw for me. When I opened the box I noticed damage to the handle and oil marks on the body of the saw. Checked with customer services if they ever sent out items that had be used or damaged. They informed me that they only sent out items that had been returned but not used of damaged. Therefore, taking them at their word, I went ahead and continued to unpack the saw, Unfortunately, I got not response when I attempted to turn the saw on. Furthermore, noticed that the gauge for indicating the angle of the bevel was starting to peel away. On taking a closer look, I was surprised to notice that it was a cheap looking sticky label that would in time fall off. Thought that this let down what appeared to be a reasonably well built saw. Took the saw back to my local store who were great. They thought that the item had been used! No problem in getting a refund.
Looking to pay a little more for a better quality item. Given the fact that I have been unable to use the saw, would find it difficult to comment on performance/value. Hence, can only one star. Would like to be more positive. However, glad to see that others have had a better experience than me. Unfortunately, its a case of once bitten etc.
