Rated 2 out of 5 by from Get better ones. I thought it was good value after drilling through some bricks. They work ok for that. But then I needed to go through a concrete wall, it started good but then became very slow and then would not go any more. I hit one piece of rebar and totally destroyed the core bit. Spend the money and get a good set or just the one you need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent kit Bought to core drill through 500mm limestone walls (double skin rubble fill). Was originally concerned about build quality based on other reviews but nothing to worry about. Cut through the limestone stone slowly but steadily. For the external hole I cut it wet, the internal dry. Diamond bits show no sign of wear. Highly recommended and half the price of other sets. Now just have three more holes to cut!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better The core drills themselves are good and cut a decent hole however the pilot drill just keeps becoming loose as you use it. In the end I tapped the hole and put a bolt in place to keep the pilot drill from falling out. No matter how hard we banged the pilot drill into the bar it just kept coming loose. Other core drills I have the pilot drill is held in with a bolt this method just does not seem to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great diy core bit kit. Great value set which I used an hour after collecting it, cut a 32mm hole through a cavity wall very easily using a basic sds drill but not on hammer mode .The set contains all the parts you will need for drilling the three size holes the kit gives you.

Arbor

Where can i get replacement Arbor from, 200mm with pilot drill
Asked by: mrpap1

Cutting Depth

Hi, Do you know if it is possible to add an additional extension bar to take it beyond the 200mm cutting depth? I live in an old property with stone walls that are approx 400mm thick and need to drill a hole for a tumble dryer duct. Thanks
Asked by: GBart
Hello GBart. It is possible to connect two extension bars together, because of the depth you are cutting would advise drill far as possible before you put second extension bar on. Thank you for using Q&A.

Can I use this on an sds maxi drill?

Asked by: Alexxxxxx
Hi Alex, This product comes with a standard 13mm arbor and an SDS/SDS Plus arbor. however to use this product with an SDS Max drill you would need to purchase the correct arbor separately. Hope this helps.

will this work to cut through wood

need to get a soil pipe out through 50mm joist so want to know this will be ok? the joist is a wall plate so not spanning anywhere but still its in my route
Asked by: unbelievable
Hello unbelievable. Core drills are designed for cutting holes in brick, stone, slabs etc. For cutting into wood a holesaw would be a preferable option. Hope that helps. Thank you for using Q&A.
