Rated 5 out of 5 by Robust Scroll Saw I was seeking a scroll saw, which would be ideal for very small intricate work - with extreme accuracy, and without doubt this is the best I could find. The fitted blade is the finest for the miniature work I will be using it for.. It is very well made and has quality written all over it. I thoroughly recommend this item- and I never cease to be pleased and satisfied with all my purchases from Screwfix - irrespective of whether I go to the local store, or have the item delivered. 25 May 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value My first scroll saw. Cut through 12mm MDF quietly and effectively. I've not yet tried any aftermarket - possibly better - blades. Would recommend that first time users (like myself) take a look at internet videos on how tight to tension and calibrate the blade for straightness: the table has a tilting function and although the adjustment dial is accurate, you should definitely check the table level using a scrap piece of wood. It's a very simple procedure. Could use some form of dust removal as it's not so easy to keep track of the cutting line on your work. Could be a cheap diy fix or maybe it would be better to buy one with a supplied blower/vacuum? Quiet, light, and very good value. If it lasts me a year I'd be delighted to be honest! 3 Feb 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value for money Highly impressed with this bit of kit. Don't need to use it very often but it is very useful to have. At this price it is excellent value. Would recommend. 18 Feb 2015

We are making things from MDF, and we were wondering if we could change the tile cutter into a wood cutter? Thanks x

Answer:
Hi Hallamshake,

The blade provided would be suitable to cut wood rather than tiles and additional blades can be purchased when the one provided wears down.

I hope this helps
