Eclipse Spring Hinges Satin Stainless Steel 43 x 103mm Pack of 2
Not up to the job
Please Screwfix put the weight limit for these on the page. I bought for a kitchen door. They weren't even close to being up to the job. Even at max tension they couldn't cope.

I'm replacing the same kind of hinge bought from the same supplier. The last two way hinge pack I bought lasted 12-15 years with no problems till one hinge broke. The new pack of two way hinges doesn't have anything like the same amount of spring power in the fitting, no wonder it is suggested that three hinges are used. They are sold in pairs still. This makes you buy something you can't fully use. I will have to put back the hinge that is not broken to finish the job. I've gone over the recommended tension by almost 100%. I'm not using it on a door though but just a half height wooden gate!!

No good for heavier door
Screwfix don't specify weight, but referred me to the manufacturer helpline who told me "25-35kg should be fine". My door is no more than 30kg glazed. Even after buying and fitting a second set, the top hinges are pulling themselves apart after just a couple of months use. Now replacing with 6" hinges from another range (with stated max weight and width - and I note their 4" is only rated 20kg and 700mm).

I bought four of these hinges having browsed the web. These are good value and finished in stainless steel as opposed to some others which are just painted steel, so these look good when installed.
One of the hinges came with an additional facility, a squeak, which has so far has defied all lubrication attempts to silence.
