Very happy to recommend these wellies which provide good protection. One point to note is that the sizing is generous so a pair of heavy socks are required to stop the feet sliding.

Dunlop tend to make good boots, sadly they have recently started to make thin shoddy ones, the Protomastor are good heavy duty boots which in my line of work are a necessity.

I get through wellington boots very fast - 6 months is the average life - so I thought I'd try these for a change. The steel toecaps are a bonus when shifting rocks or logs; the horse hasn't tested them yet! They are large for the size and require thick socks but that's no bad thing in winter. The soles are lovely and thick but I wouldn't use these boots for walking any distance as they are a loose fit and the toecap is very unforgiving to my big toe when going downhill! They have proved to be non-slip in the snow which is good.

Got these for my wife. She has bought several pairs over the last few years all of which have leaked or split quite quickly. Decided to go for something less elegant but practical. With solid construction, metal toecap and a good price these fit the bill admirably for things like dog walking in winter
