Rated 5 out of 5 by Whiter than white ! I don't usually buy branded paint (bit of a cheap-skate) but did this time and I shall be now forever more. This paint was amazing !! Used to to paint the surround on my garage door as I don't think the previous owner had painted for the last 15 years (seriously don't think he had). I used the Dulux Trade priner and undercoat first and then finished it with this. The white is incredible and gives a lovely gloss finish very easily. I think my garage surround is now the envy of the road. 11 Jul 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by great quality gloss very similar price range to most other brands of gloss however this stuff is great quality, covers well and leaves a perfectly smooth finish. 8 Jun 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good paint Initially I went for water based Armstead paint thinking it's non-yellowing would be a big advantage over oil based paints. The results were terrible, streaky finish etc. Tried this Dulux oil based and it's so much much better. Even if it may yellows in a few years it is proper paint that's fit for purpose. 7 Jun 2016

I am looking to spray my IKEA kitchen gloss white. Can I sue this paint with a airless sprayer if paint is mixed with thinners or white spirit to the correct measures?

I have read online that low VOC oilbased white paints yellow very quickly in areas not exposed to sufficient daylight? All the rave reviews are about how easy the paint is to work with and have been put up recently but I want to know if its stayed white for years?

thanks

Answer:
The nature of all oil based products means that they will all discolour over time and the rate of discolouration is faster in areas with no or low levels of natural daylight. To achieve a more permanent whiteness a water based gloss would be recommended.

Answer:
YES, it DOES yellow in low-light areas and by no stretch of the imagination could this be called a low-VOC paint.

I painted all our internal doors in this paint just over a year ago. I first sanded the doors, then put on 2 coats of Dulux Trade Undercoat Brilliant White followed by 2 coats of Dulux Trade High Gloss Pure Brilliant White.

After about 3 months, I put hooks on the back of the bedroom doors and hung bathrobes / dressing gowns on them.

A week or so ago, I realised that the doors now have large prominent yellow stains where the robes have been hanging. It looks like a yellow shadow of the robes which hung there. I came on here to leave an appropriate review.

This has happened in less than a year.

Very disappointing. Despite it being a perfect paint to work with, I shall not be using this paint again.

Answer:
Hi, our Dulux Trade High Gloss is a solvent based gloss. If you're looking to use a water based gloss the cans will say Quick Dry, such as our Dulux Trade Quick Dry Gloss.
