Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good coverage, Good paint Good paint, But it has a very thick consistency which personally I like in a plant, I applied this with a small roller to my bathroom walls you will need two coats to get a good coverage and it works well. Can't fault it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Read this first .... While this paint is highly recommended, these tips may prove useful. (I have addressed as many 'issues' as possible, mentioned by previous reviewers.) This paint has the consistency of a water based gloss, so is thick and creamy. If you apply to a dry surface (substrate) the little moisture in the paint will be absorbed quickly and the paint will not adhere well. Use a quality primer/SEALER before applying this paint. Do NOT under any circumstances use PVA as a 'sealer' because PVA is a water based adhesive, and can be 'livened up' again whenever it is moistened. Water based paint doesn't like PVA. Try to avoid using this paint in warm/dry conditions. A cool wet day with the bathroom window open is ideal. If it's warm, don't be afraid to add a little water to prevent the paint drying out too quickly while in use. No more than 10% though. This is a TWO coat system. I'll just repeat that, this is a TWO coat system. The second coat will go on easier/faster than the first, because the paint will be sitting on top of a dried paint 'skin' so will travel better/faster. Allow at least 6 hours between coats, 12 is better. While a little expensive, this paint is the one I use in student lets, and it works. I'd be happy to hear of a better one, though I've not found better yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Paint worth the extra This is a case of you get what you pay for, this paint is perfect for intended job. I have had this on bathroom celling for nearly a year and it looks as new. Held up well to steam from shower etc. The only problem with this range is the lack of colour variety for the wall paints but hey you cant have it all!

I am interested in buying this paint for a bathroom which is prone to mould and a corner of a bedroom and lounge. Can you use it as an undercoat and paint on top of it with another colour?

Hi, you can paint over our Bathroom Soft Sheen with another emulsion to alter the colour however, you will lose the mould tech technology. Should you wish to alter the colour and maintain the benefits of our Bathroom Soft Sheen, then this is available in a range of colours.
