Like another reviewer I felt compelled to write in support of this machine, people using it wrongly and blaming the tool. I do lots of refurb, detail work that previously I had to use a jigsaw on, this cuts much straighter and stays square and way less dust! As he says great as it cuts with zero breakout and you can cut holding things with virtually no clamping as there's no teeth to judder the work. I have tried this with the vac port and it's superb, I can cut indoors without sheeting up and the lounge doesn't look like a rabbit hutch afterward. It flys through sheet even at its max depth (pity it doesn't cut and inch deep as then you could cut 2" carcassing too.) For metal yes it eats blades I would use only when there's no alternative but at least it has the option I don't think there's another metal circ on the market. You can also cut plasterboard and use like a mini wall chaser, with my vac a bit of dust escaped but it was super fast and dust was minor. For sheet material it may not be cordless but I can't imagine bosch and makitas Mini circs do better and this cuts a whole lot more! I'd like to see the dust port better secured, a deeper cut and a work light but overall I love it. interested to try it on tile.

by TheGoodLife Didn't work for me
The product description says that this will perform straight and plunge cuts in....plastic up to 20mm thick. I purchased with the intention of cutting 6mm thick plastic, but sadly found this tool unsuitable.
The high rotation speed combined with the abrasive type cutting discs generates too much heat, melting the plastic.
I have to say, that I like the machine and I am sure it would be ideal for other materials, but it was not suitable for my project and will be returned.
No chance to assess reliability so please ignore score on that.

I bought this to accurately cut out karndean flooring and plywood layer underneath in water leak damaged area of a kitchen. Very good for the job. I also intend to use it for cutting kitchen ceramic tiles. I agree with some other reviews that this is not cheap and discs have a limited life. Replacements are expensive. If you want to achieve a quality finish and avoid paying a pro then this will be a good buy but for regular or heavy use it may not be cost effective. One disappointment is that the disc that sits on the outside of the guard and allows an accurate flush cut is not included and is an expensive extra purchase. There is a selection box of replacement discs available which includes the flush cutter. It works out cheaper than buying them separately.
