Rated 1 out of 5 by Wrong Screws Supplied Beware this product. The description says 25mm screws. The box packaging says 25mm screws. Inside the box are 35mm screws. So if like me you bought this because of the shorter fixings you will be disappointed. 29 Jan 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Plasterboard fixings The plasterboard fixings were robust and easy to fix. a bit pricey but was worth the money. 14 Sep 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Value Really strong fixing on plasterboard. Useful for hanging items like radiators and heaters etc. 20 Aug 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by check the length first i was hoping to use this product so that I could avoid the hassle of drilling a lintel in an interior window soffit , in order to hang a Venetian blind. Unfortunately the information about the length of the DeWalt plasterboard fixing is given as 25 mm. It is in fact not the length of the fixing but a reference to the length of screw it takes. This only becomes apparent later when you have used it, hit the lintel and realised it isn't 25 mm. On checking you see a small illustration on the box that shows that it is designed to take 25mm screws. The actual fixing is around 35 mm long, similar to other products. Therefore when using it, it hit the steel lintel and consequently then just ripped away the plaster around the fixing as it had nowhere to go. More accurate information about the dimensions would have helped me avoid needless damage to the plaster. Hence poor rating, as I have not been able to use the products in the situation I intended. 8 Jul 2015

Thank you for your question. Do you know the weight of the mirrors? If the mirrors are above 100kg and as it is going into plasterboard you may be better using a hollow wall anchor which gives added strength in plasterboard. These plasterboard fixings screw into the plasterboard where as a hollow wall anchor spreads the load behind the plasterboard which gives a stronger hold. The product codes to look at are 4678F, 5505F, 3183F, 1836F.

Answer:
Thanks for your question. For a radiator I would use a hollow wall anchor as it gives more support. Radiators unfortunately do not have a consistent load as people will sit on them and you have water running through. Depending on the size of your plasterboard I would go for one of the following options 4678F, 5505F, 3183F or 1836F.

Hello, thanks for your question. For a hollow wooden door I would recommend using a hollow wall anchor if it will fit, the shortest length we do is the 4678F which is a M4 x 45mm. This will give you a much better fix to a hollow base material.
