Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Radio - Compact Size They had this radio playing in the shop when I went in, at first I thought the sound was coming through the shop sound system it was so good. The next day I went back and bought it! I am using it in my workshop and I am very impressed. It has a great hight quality sound for a small radio. Very easy to setup. Well built I expect it would sustain being knocked off the shelf, but I haven't tried that. Yes it's a bit expensive, It would be nice if it had a built in charger. The side drawer isn't big enough for an iPhone 6 plus, but it should fit most other phones. It is Dewalt, and like all Dewalt products, it's quality. Don't forget, 'You get what you pay for'! 1 Feb 2016

Answer:
Hi there, this radio would have a 240v 3 pin plug on the end of the lead so you wouldn't be able to run it off of a 110V outlet. Also I would check with your site health and safety people before using any 240v products on site as it probably won't be allowed.

Answer:
I have found that it takes around 1 1/2 of my 2Ah batteries for an 8 hour day (ie 3 charge cycles over 2 days). I play the radio at around volume 10 which I find is easily loud enough where I am (it will go up to 30). Playing louder will inevitably use up the batteries more quickly.

Answer:
Depends on which battery you are using, I have the dewalt Xr 4.0ah batteries and they last about 2 days and a little more on a full charge.

Answer:
Hi, thanks for the question, The DCR020-GB radio does not charge the batteries, if you want a DAB radio that does charge the batteries then the DCR017-GB would be what you want. It is a bit bigger but does have the charger built in to it. Screwfix code for this radio is 54911.
