DeWalt Recip Waterproof Safety
They look the part, they feel OK, but they didn't last longer than two days! The first day I was working in one place at ground level. The second day, my left foot brushed past a stepladder rung and two of the top lace hooks snapped off, then the same thing happened with another lace hook on my right foot!! They may have been part of a dodgy batch, but I certainly didn't expect that from DeWalt boots on the second day. Screwfix refunded the cost for me, so I'm now looking for a replacement pair.

Thought I would try these over the slightly more expensive dewalt challenger work boots. I have had these 2 months & now feel they are not up to task. Very uncomfortable if worn every day - hardly any heel impact comfort & as they are not breathable your feet will get wet through perspiration build up. Disappointing overall, i wanted to give them a chance but will now buy a boot with gortex as i have in the past.

Initially Good then useless
These are comfortable boots however after a few months the insole has started moving around into a slightly uncomfortable shape. The bigger problems were that the laces broke within a week, but that was to be expected with the sort of laces they come with having replaced them the new laces have easily lasted three months. They were waterproof but only up to the bottom of the tongue of the boot if the tongue got wet then the water would go straight through to your feet. And now having used them for approximately three months only about 45 hours a week in a yard the stitching on the outside is falling apart and there is a two inch break in the stitching where it just fell apart one day. Where the sole meets the rubber you can see it flexing and the join opening and closing, I had a cheap pair of own brand boots from another supplier that easily lasted 9 months and they stayed waterproof for the entire time, I expected these to be a lot better. Occasionally the grip on the soles would disappear however they seemed OK on oil however on wet timber it was like skating, also they tended to get sand and crushed glass stuck to them when wet and this then made them rather slippery. Steer clear of these boots, there are far more durable boots out there.
