Rated 4 out of 5Â by DIYUser21 Very sturdy Ratchet Screwdrive
Unlikely to be the cheapest bit holding ratchet screw-driver you look at but it seems to be very well made. It looks like it is targeting a professional market where I would expect it to give long service.
I bought it allow me to drive long timber screws by hand into oak sleepers which it did comfortably. (Seemed a better idea than overloading my cordless drill.)
Internal drill bit holder is useful but probably a bit fiddly with cold fingers. Ability to use removable bar for use in drill is a real plus for me.
NOTE - Screwfix website suggests 1 year manufacturer guarantee but packaging suggest "lifetime" although it is never clear what that really means.

by DIYorProfessional DeWalt hand Tool's ??
When i first found out that DeWalt were releasing the hand tool range here in the UK, I was like OH YEAH!!.
So as soon as Screwfix got the range in i could not wait to get my hands on this screwdriver. I did however look at the Wera Kraftform Kompakt tbh because it came with a carry pouch and you can remove the shaft and use it in my combi-drill. but one thing i wanted was the ratchet action more than anything,so this ruled out the wera.
Not only doe's this ratcheting Dewalt have everything i need from a compact robust bit of kit,but it also comes complete with a range of 12 bit's. it's a shame that the bits are not impact ready as i would love to use this in conjunction with my dewalt impact driver (DCF886). You also get an included screwdriver holder that can be screwed down if the need arose. So even though the shaft on this Dewalt screwdriver can also be separated,It lack's the required indent for it to stay locked in my impact driver,it can still be used, but you have to make sure that you keep note that it may fall out on it's own accord. Other than this little setback, I did find it hard to part with the high price tag, After all it's just a ratcheting screwdriver at the end of the day. What sold this product for me are 4 thing's mainly, 1) Is the ability to store the supplied or your own bit's within the handle. 2) The Ratcheting. 3) Removable Shaft. 4) The LIFETIME GUARANTEE Offered by DeWalt. (So keep the receipt in a safe place after purchase).
Would i say this is the ultimate screwdriver ??........well yes but only just, I would have thought for a premium priced screwdriver they would throw in some sort of carrying pouch, Impact ready bits and a shaft that can be locked in a collet and not just a chuck. so maybe in a revision from dewalt, They could look in to providing just a little bit more for the money than what they currently offer.
