Rated 5 out of 5Â by Mothus DeWalt Rigger Gloves
Good quality, tough suede, bought them for moving large and heavy, hand cut sandstone patio slabs. This demands very hardwearing material.
They stood up to the job perfectly, providing excellent grib and superb protection.
They look smart and feel very comfortable.
Great gloves, you will not be dissapointed.

I bought two pairs of these gloves mainly due to the good reviews here.
Both pairs have split at the fingertips and thumb seams after only a few hours of pottering about in the garden.
Total rubbish product that isn't fit for the purpose or of bearing the DeWalt logo!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by ukbrian safety specification misquoted
These gloves are well made and provide good protection. There is however a mistake in the EN388 quoted on both the packaging and the screwfix catalogue.
The standard measures 4 hazards on a resistance scale of 1 to 4 (1 to 5 for cut resistance): and appears as 4 numbers below the EN388 symbol.
This product is shown as 4 4 1 4
but should be 4 1 4 4
1. Abrasion quoted as 4
2. Cut mistakenly quoted as 4 (actually 1)
3. Tear quoted as 1 (actually 4)
4. Puncture quoted as 4
So these gloves offer maximum protection apart from the resistance to cutting with a blade (which still meets the minimum standard).

I bought a pair of these to wear when working on a hawthorn hedge, due to their high puncture resistance rating. On this factor, I cannot fault the gloves. Not a single one of the 4" thorns penetrated the leather.
However, the stitching between the fabric and leather, and on the edge of the thumb tore very easily. I would have expected double stitching on a product of this price and brand. As it was, I spent most of an evening re-stitching the joins with dental tape to create a far stronger bond. Since doing this the gloves have been perfect.
