Rated 5 out of 5 by Great saw & great service First a quick word of praise for ScrewFix. Ordered the saw and it was delivered the next morning unfortunately it had a European 2 pin plug. This was obviously an issue with the supplier. ScrewFix immediately sent a replacement which arrived in perfect condition the next morning - You can't fault that for service. The saw itself comes ready assembled and just needed a few minor adjustments to align everything perfectly. It's simple to operate and cuts like a dream. Exceptional build quality and a good solid base - only used it for one job so far (about 6 hours work) but I expect it to be a solid and reliable workhorse. you get what you pay for and DeWalt is very solid gear 11 Mar 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by An exceptional investment I have been building items as part of various DIY projects and have been using a much cheaper Mitre saw that was struggling with the sizes of wood I need to get cuts on. With the sale and a little bit of thinking I purchased the DeWalt Sliding Mitre saw. From the first cut it is joy, the strong motor is quieter than I expected and the 40 tooth bade, once used to the ways to get get the best cuts almost polishes the wood. What would have taken hours of cutting and checking angles on the old saw was done in a fraction of the time and it was a disappointment. Never has cutting would been so much fun! Just a word of advice with the ejection port make sure it at least points outside or you will be sweeping up for a while. 2 Jan 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product at a great price DeWalt products are generally regarded as the best on the market and this saw is no exception. Great versatility and incredible capacity for a saw that can claim to be portable. Add it to a DeWalt saw stand and you have kit that will last even the most demanding DIYer or professional a very long time indeed! Great price from Screwfix too! 2 Jan 2015

Hi Jimmi
If your saw isn't giving true angles then please use page 27 of the instruction manual for the adjustment section which will cover how to make all adjustments required to maintain accuracy.
Sometimes you do get the odd machine that comes out of the factory not 100% set up perfectly and requires a few minutes to adjust to be correct.

Blade Size

The blade diameter shown states 250mm. I have a blade from a Macalister saw which is 254mm, would this fit or is it too big?

Hi There
The blade you have would be too big to fit and be safe on the saw.
You will need to make sure if you fit any blade to this machine they are 250mm diameter blades with a 30mm bore. The saw does come with a fine cut 40 tooth blade.

..... to allow partial or shallow cuts in timber and MDF, such as when making fine grooves in panels or cutting halving joints. I don't see any mention of this in the specifications, but I would expect a saw at this price to have that facility.
